Vanessa Tinker-Bell is an unseen character in We Happy Few, only mentioned in notes and recordings.

Overview[]

She was a former Wellie who became the first test subject of formula A-329. However the side effects made her go insane, and is now running around in her cell clapping her hands, believing she can fly.

According to the How to be Happy: Guide Book, before she became a Downer, Vanessa was the director of the Bloomsbury Road Lending Library. She worked as an editor of the Hamlyn Abridged Classics, adapting literary masterpieces to remove the unhappy parts.

Before she was taken in at Haworth Labs, she was working on a happy version of Les Misérables.

Trivia[]

  • Vanessa was a listed client of Sally Boyle, now written under "Gone On Holiday".
  • Her last name is a reference to fictional character Tinker Bell from J.M Barrie's novel Peter Pan. Vanessa clapping her hands and believing to fly mimics the original character.
