The Pub, or Public House, is an establishment that serves alcoholic drinks and sometimes food. It's located in St. George's Holm.
Jane Rowbothome and Steve McDonald run the bar.

Overview[]
In Act II, Sally cannot craft outfits, so she has to rely on Mrs. Pankhurst and her shop, A Stitch in Time. The player will have to complete the quest, Alterations, in order to be able to buy outfits and other clothing items from her.
Also in Act II, Cap'n Strawbeard lives a floor above the pub, and one floor below Mrs. Pankhurst.
Ollie used to visit the pub often when he lived in Hamlyn Village. However, one day after he smashed a TV antenna, he decided to leave and live in the Garden District, where he wouldn't be subject to Uncle Jack's face anymore.
Edmund MacMillan used to run errands for the pub before becoming a meat boy for Reg Cutty, though he still returns to the pub sometimes. He's well liked there.
Possible Names[]
The Pub will generate with a random name and sign outside, possible names include:
- The Golden Calf, references to the worshiped Golden Calf idol in the bible.
- The Green Man, references the legendary being of the same name, often representing the cycle of new growth and rebirth. The name is commonly used for English public houses.
- The Nobody Inn, possibly references a real English pub.
- The Pot of Cream
- The Purloined Cock, Purloin is an old word meaning 'To Steal', and Cock refers to Roosters (Cockerel). I.e. The Rooster Thief.
- The Slaughtered Lamb, references Isiah 53:7 "He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth." It's also possibly a reference to a real English pub.
- The Wicker Man, reference to British horror film The Wicker Man (1973), based on the novel Ritual (1967) by David Pinner.
Trivia[]
- Ironically, the player can't buy scotch.
- In the bathroom, the book Ivanhoe can be found next to the toilet.
- Real Ale is advertised throughout the pub, though it's suggested to be a substitute.
- In earlier builds of the game, the bartender was known as "Mister Front Desk Guy"
