Spud Murphy is a character in We Happy Few.

He is a regular customer of Sally Boyle's Blackberry Joy, and is the first enemy (of sorts) that Sally faces during Act II.

Buff PureBliss Events of We Happy Few[]

At the beginning of Act II, Spud is heard repeatedly ringing the doorbell of Sally's Interplanetary Travel Agency, hoping to get a fix of Blackberry Joy. When Sally informs him that she doesn't have any Blackberry available, Spud begins to bang on her door until he smashes it down.

Once inside, the manic and agitated Spud accuses Sally of hoarding all of the Blackberry for the Bobbies. He assaults her, pushing her to the side and briefly knocking her out.

When Sally comes to, she witnesses Spud plundering her laboratory in search of Blackberry, to no avail. He then runs upstairs to Sally's living quarters; there, he finds the infant Gwen and picks her up. In disbelief and denial at the sight of a baby, he tries to convince himself that the child is really a rat.

Just before he drops Gwen, Sally uses a knockout syringe on him and catches her daughter out of the air as Spud lands to the floor unconscious. Sally is then forced to drag Spud outside, placing him in a rubbish bin in the alley outside her backdoor. He is not seen after this quest; it's unknown what became of him after.
