Soviets Take Madrid

(Scrap from the O Courant, October 30, 1949).... Sir Robert Byng states that he has sent a sternly worded letter to the Provisional Government of the Spanish Democratic Republic. "It is impossible for dozens of children to simply disappear, and it is unthinkable that the Soviet authorities would use our children as a bargaining chip with the Americans. Even communists are parents."
