Red Pills, later known as the DSM Pill, are removed items, only available in the Pre-Alpha 11219 - XXXXX builds of We Happy Few.

Buff EasilyForgotten Appearance[]

Red Pills were very small capsules that were completely red on both sides. This would later change, as DSM Pills not only got a yellow side along with the red one, but also became much larger in size.

Buff TechFriendly Overview[]

The Red Pill was a drug that the player could take in order to increase their Joy levels, albeit in a lower dose compared to Joy.

It took up 1 slot in the player's inventory, and it could be placed in the player's quickslot.

Buff Conformist Trivia[]

  • "Gleephene" might be a play on the word "Gleeful".
  • Despite the icon for DSM Pills looking like round tablets, the in-game model had the shape of a capsule pill.
  • The pills sort of returned in the Lightbearer DLC, taking the role of Nick Lightbearer's special "Reds and Yellows".
  • The description for the DSM Pills imply that they were going to be used to enter a hallucinogenic state instead of the Histoplasma Mushrooms, despite the function not existing at that point in time.
