PreggersBW

Preggers is the name of a Memory in Act Il of We Happy Few.

Location[]

In the hatch on Lud's Holm, floating above a few crates by the spotlights.

Overview[]

Sally and her mother argue about if another woman is pregnant, or fat. Sally suggests that the woman had been sleeping with another man while her husband was held captive.

Transcript[]

Sally: "I can't tell if Mrs. Witherington is preggers or just fat."

Mrs. Boyle: "Don't use that word. It's horrible."

Sally: "Her husband is a prisoner of war, but she goes everywhere with Lieutenant Olbricht."

Mrs. Boyle: "Maybe she's just eating a few extra rations. Anyway, we'll know in a few months, won't we?"

Sally: "You can't tell either way, that dress is so baggy."

Mrs. Boyle: "That's enough of that, Sally Boyle."

Trivia[]

  • Lietenant Olbrich may be a reference to the real life Friedrich Olbirch, a German general during WWII who was one of the few people involved in an attempt to assassinate Adolf Hitler.
