Mrs Chaney's House is a point of interest in St. George's Holm, it's the residential area for Julia and Ned Chaney, as well as two random Wellies and Wellettes.

Buff TypicallyBritish History[]

During Act I when the player discovers the house, they find it in ruin, with the previous residents brutally murdered on the ground. The furniture is also thrown over, with some even blocking the front door that Sgt. Gainsborough continuously knocks on.

However, there is one person still alive in the building; Julia Chaney. It was her who committed the murders. She is found covered in blood and under complete mental instability, desperately trying to brew her own home-made pills, all the while lamenting to her dead mother how much of a failure she is compared to her.

In Act II the player discovers that the Joy Doctors are attempting to frame Sally for the murders in order to shut her business down, all from the orders of Dr. Verloc. Various forged evidence has been spread throughout the house and the player has to find them all before the Constabulary inspects the area.

Buff TechFriendly Layout[]

The house has three levels.

First Level[]

This is where the player gets into the building, by going around the back and climbing through the window, they'll find the stairs to their right and the main hallway in front of them, next to the hallway is the kitchen, where three of the victims can be found brutally murdered.

There is a compliment machine standing next to Ned's corpse, and to the right of the machine is a small boiler room with three crates the player can search.

Second Level[]

Up the stairs and to the right is a small bathroom, with one of the victims placed on the toilet. Julia will pace back and forth in the small room in front of the stairs, with a makeshift chemical station set up across the tables and leading up to the third floor.

Third Level[]

Upstairs is a small open room with a desk by the wall, with the door to the master bedroom to the left. Inside the bedroom are more tubes for the brewing process. To the left of the bed is an end table with Julia's Diary on top, interacting with it will cause Julia to jumpscare the player before continuously attacking them without stopping.

Next to the bedroom is the bathroom, both the toilet and bathtub is filled with a luminescent green liquid. Inside the toilet is the Altered Formula Dexipam.

Survival Mode[]

It's possible for Chaney's house to generate as a special location in Survival Mode.

There's little to no difference, apart from the added amount of enemies. Female wastrels will be stationed in the house, who will attack the player if they see them. These Wastrellettes function the exact same as Julia Chaney, and will constantly attack the player without pausing, so the player will have to be quick to fight back.

Julia is not in the house, but her appearance is given to a random Wastrellette on the second floor.

Inside the bedroom is a Gilded Pleasure Mask for the player to collect, yielding 6 skill points. There's also 2 chests inside the bathroom.
