The Lawrence Residence is a house in We Happy Few that belongs to the late Edward Lawrence, located in St. George's Holm. It can only be explored in Act I or during Survival Mode, in which the house has a key item for the player to collect.
History[]
Edward Lawrence, brother of Thomas Lawrence, was a captain of the British Army before retiring with his dog, Bonny Prince Charlie. The two brothers had a falling out after Edward stole the dog from Thomas' garden, keeping him to himself for years. According to Edward, he did this because he thought it was fair considering Thomas' wife, Sarah, declined Edward's proposal and preferred Thomas over him. He essentially stole the dog out of jealousy and grief.
While his brother Thomas had a loving family, Edward only had his dog for the few years it was still alive. Once the dog was gone, Edward was completely alone.
