The Flimsy Cricket Bat is a light melee weapon in We Happy Few.

Buff TechFriendly Overview[]

The Flimsy Cricket Bat is a poor early game weapon. It has long range, swings fast, runs out of durability fast, and it can hit multiple targets at a time with the Chain Sweep skill.

The playable character will hold the Flimsy Cricket Bat with both their hands, and swing it broadly to hit their target. The weapon can be charged in exchange for some of the player's stamina to deal a lot of damage. The weapon usually doesn't have much durability left, making them not very ideal for combat unless the player is in a desperate situation.

The Flimsy Cricket Bat is wielded by Wastrels and Wellies.

Buff EasilyForgotten Appearance[]

The Flimsy Cricket Bat, usually used to play the sport 'Cricket', is a Bat consisting of a short handle that has loads of thread wrapped around it, the handle is attached to a long double-edged wood blade.

The weapon itself cannot be crafted, nor can it be crafted into anything.

Buff Conformist Trivia[]

  • The Flimsy Cricket Bat uses the old icon for the pre-alpha Cricket Bat.
  • The wood blade has 'Iron Duke' engraved on it, along with three stars. This is likely a reference to Douglas Jardine, a cricket player for England that was nicknamed 'The Iron Duke'.
    • However, the term 'Iron Duke' was originally the nickname for Arthur Wellesley. And the three British Royal Navy ships launched between 1870 to 1991 were also called 'HMS Iron Duke'.
    • The blade also has 'Product of Courtland Inc. London', 'Patent Reinforced IOF No. 35726D4', and 'Middlesex & England' engraved.

The Flimsy Cricket Bats have been in the game since the Pre-Alpha 17956 build.

Buff TechFriendly Overview[]

The Flimsy Cricket Bat was a weaker version of the regular Cricket Bat that the player could wield if they had no other options. It was impossible to get a Flimsy Cricket Bat with full durability.

It took up 6 slots in the player's inventory and could only be placed upright. Weapons could not be placed in the player's quickslot.
