Description
Causes coughing fits, reduced movement, and prevents the target from attacking.

The Tear Gas Grenade is a removed ranged weapon that was introduced during the Pre-Alpha 17956 build of We Happy Few before being removed in an unknown build.

Overview

When thrown, the grenade explodes into a large yellow cloud that causes the NPCs to stop and cough for 10 seconds, giving the player enough time to escape. The player is not affected by the grenade, but any outside NPCs that enter the cloud will be affected.

It took up 1 slot in the player's inventory, and had to be placed in the player's inventory in order to be used.

Trivia

• This weapon shares similar functionality as the Vomit Bomb, which may have contributed to it's removal.
• Interestingly, a tear gas grenade can be found at the Military Camp during Act II, but since the player never gets to explore the area freely, they can't take it unless they use console commands.
