Caltrops is a gadget in We Happy Few.
Overview[]
When thrown onto the ground, NPCs that walk within the area of which the caltrops were thrown will stop and react to their hurt foot, letting the player either escape or kill them.
NPCs will only be stunned for 10 seconds, though there is no limit to how many times the player can use caltrops on them.
The player does not get stunned when walking on caltrops.

- Historically, caltrops were used as a defense in order to slow down troops, such as horses, chariots, cars, and more. Caltrops were also extensively used during WWII.

Caltrops have existed since the Early Access 27755 build of We Happy Few.
Overview[]
Caltrops could be thrown to stun enemies for about 10 seconds, letting the player escape or kill the stunned NPC. The player would not be affected by the caltrops.
Trivia[]
- The icon didn't depict a box full of caltrops, but of singular caltrops.
- The player's hand could not be seen when holding the Caltrops, though it could be seen when they're about to throw it.
