MoodBooth

A Mood Booth

Mood Booth is a special structure in Hamlyn Village and the Parade District that distributes Joy pills to the general populace.

Buff EasilyForgotten Appearance[]

Externally, the mood booth resembles a telephone booth, although the interior has been modified and instead contains a machine of sorts that distributes one Joy pill from one of the three canisters to whomever is within the booth. The only flavour that can be taken is Strawberry, although Chocolate and Vanilla is also present.

There is no limit to the supply of Joy pills in a Mood Booth.

Buff WaitForIt Function[]

The player can interact with a Mood Booth to easily get some Joy in their system. For example, if the player is in a situation in which they absolutely must take Joy, but doesn't have any pills on hand, a Mood Booth can be used instead.

It doesn't cost anything to use a Mood Booth.

Buff LuckyBreak Locations[]

Mood Booths are located right on the sidewalks throughout Hamlyn Village and the Parade District. They are marked on the map with a pill icon.

Wellies will intermittently enter a Mood Booth from time to time and take Joy, making the Mood Booth unusable until the Wellie exits.

When Arthur is rehabilitating into Hamlyn Village, he has to use a Mood Booth before watching Uncle Jack's show about etiquette. This is also where the player learns how Joy works.

The Night Watch[]

BlackBerryMoodBooth

A Blackberry Mood Booth

During The Night Watch, John Constable has to use Blackberry Mood Booths scattered around Hamlyn Village to take Blackberry Joy.

Buff EasilyForgotten Appearance[]

The booths are coloured purple instead of red, much like Blackberry Joy pills themselves. The sides of the booth has bright magenta lights, and there's a blue light on the roof.

Inside the booths are Joy Dispensers with three flavours; Vanilla, Chocolate, and Blackberry. John will always pick Blackberry Joy.

Buff TechFriendly Overview[]

Unlike the base game, the Blackberry Joy costs Sovereigns. On the first night, it costs £20 to take a Joy pill, but on subsequent nights it'll raise by £10.

The player can take Blackberry at any point, but it's best to take it either when the player's Joy Meter is about to run out, or when they've completely run out.

The booths are very far apart from other important structures, so its best for the player to be nearby a booth at all times, or have items that'll help them run to it when necessary.

Buff Conformist Trivia[]

  • Neither the player or the Wellies are able to take any other flavour than Strawberry, as they both use the exact same animation when entering a Mood Booth.
    • Lore wise, it's a bad idea to mix one's intake of the flavours, as it may cause unfavourable psychological reactions in the users head.
