Animals are multicellular organisms that may feed on organic matter and breathe oxygen. Most of the Animals in We Happy Few have disappeared after the events of WWII, and only a few species remain.
Animals in the Game[]
Rats have become abundant in Wellington Wells, especially in the Garden District. They're usually found in abandoned, run down areas.
Bees are found in swarms by trees or other special areas, typically houses.
Butterflies are only found during Sally's Act, they can be found flying by Foxglove flowers, or in other areas.
Mentioned Animals[]
Dogs used to exist in Wellington Wells, though it's said they were eaten during the war.
When the game is loading, it is said that crows still exist, but have learned to stay out of sight. Birds, owls, and crickets can be heard in the Garden District.
Arthur mentions seeing cows when he travels through the underground system, whether they're dead or alive is uncertain, though they're most likely carcasses.
In the We All Fall Down DLC, the aquariums are empty.
